"Back to You" has a gentle, light pop feel and reflects upon a past relationship that may have not been the best fit and yet carries significance. Vandi Lynnae states, "I know that given the chance, I'd go back to you," knowing full well that this person isn't the best thing for her. There is a bittersweet quality to the track, drawing the listener into a fleeting moment, a feeling that sweeps in and takes you back to a former time, and then just as quickly leaves you to return to the current reality.
