Vandi Lynnae's premier single, "Ramblin' Man," transports you to a world of delicate finger picking with guitar voices interweaving to reveal the complexity of the singer's emotional state. Ms. Lynnae states that, "When (she) was writing the song, I had just been in Nashville with the sounds of music city washing over me, had visited with a friend who was only in town for a weekend to perform and then had to fly off to France for a music festival, and was reflecting on the life of a musician." In the song, she speaks to a man she loves, acknowledging that he needs to go, chase his dreams, and live the life he was meant for. She doesn't want to hold him back, but she hopes that he will carry her in his heart and return to her someday. "I was thinking about how much we, as artists and musicians, give to our craft. We sacrifice for it. We give up people, home, stability. We choose this life-or perhaps it chooses us. It calls us to the road, and we have to go."
